Advent/Christmas

Our theme for Advent this year is “Advent People”. We will be meeting those who longed for and waited for the birth of Jesus and find out that like them, we are called to be an advent people. People of hope, peace, joy and love.

Below is a calendar of events and activities for this Advent at Nassagaweya Presbyterian Church. We hope they will help you celebrate this special season and prepare yourself for Christmas.

Calendar of Events

Jesse Tree Kit
NPC is providing any family who would like, a Jess Tree kit for Advent. A Jesse tree is like an advent calendar but instead of opening a little door each day, you get to create a Christmas ornament to hang on your Jesse Tree. With each ornament is a story to read from the Bible and a short devotion. Make it part of your family dinner time or do it before bed. You can download the devotional booklet by clicking JesseTreeBooklet2018 and the ornaments by clicking Jesse Tree 2018 – ornaments or pick up a kit at the church with all the supplies you’ll need. The first day of the Jesse Tree family devotional is December 1st.
