Advent is a season to reflect on the gifts of hope, peace, joy and love that come to us in Jesus Christ. NPC has a number of events and activities to help make the season of Advent a meaningful one as together we wait for Christmas Day.
Nov. 28, Dec. 5, 12 and 19 @ 10:00 am – Sunday Morning Worship
Throughout Advent we will be lighting candles in worship, singing Christmas carols and reflecting on the themes of hope, peace, joy and love.
Virtual Advent Calendar (Nov. 28-Dec. 25)
A virtual Advent calendar has been prepared for the congregation and each day you can click on a new window to find an advent message or activity. Just click on the link below.
Advent Family Devotional
Make Advent part of your family’s celebrations with a special Advent Family Devotional booklet. Each week has scripture readings, suggested children’s stories, prayers, discussion questions and space to journal. There are also instructions on how to create your own advent wreathe.
This year we will again be sponsoring a family in need connected to Milton Transitional Housing. Donations for this family can be made by dropping items off at the church or by connecting with Olive Mont (email@example.com). You can also make a donation directly to Milton Transitional Housing online.
Sunday, Dec. 19 @ 10:00 am – Virtual Christmas Pageant
In place of our traditional Christmas pageant, the Sunday School will be participating in a virtual pageant with each family recording part of the Christmas nativity story. The different parts will be put together into one video and played during worship on December 19th. Any family that would like to participate can email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sunday, Dec. 19 – Drive-Thru Santa Claus Parade
The Campbellville Community Association has decided to organize a drive-thru Santa Claus Parade at Mohawk Racetrack. NPC will be entering a float in the parade. If you would like to help with the float, email email@example.com.
Sunday, Dec. 19 @ 7:00 pm – St. David’s Comfort and Joy Service
The Christmas season can be very difficult for those who are experiencing grief. This special service hosted by St. David’s Presbyterian in Campbellville is for anyone who needs a place where others understand what you are going through. Our hope is that you will find hope in this service offered especially for you. This year’s service will be hosted online using Zoom. If you’d like to attend, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for the link.
Friday, Dec. 24 @ 7:30 pm – Christmas Eve Service
This year we are delighted to be back in the sanctuary for our Candlelight Christmas Eve Service at 7:30 pm. We will also be streaming the service on Zoom for those who are at home. If provincial guidelines change from now until then, we will update the website and email the congregation.
To attend in-person you must provide proof of vaccination and wear a mask. If you’d like to attend via Zoom, click here on Christmas Eve at 7:30 pm.
