Thank you!

IMG_2971Thank you to all the volunteers who helped keep the church open this week for those who were without power! It was a team effort and your help is appreciated as we were able to provide water, coffee, a friendly face and warmth to those who needed it.

Thank you to all those who helped in preparing and serving dinner on Boxing Day to the hydro crews! It was a delicious meal and very much appreciated by Milton Hydro and the crews who came to assist them this week.

Service of Comfort and Joy at St. David’s – Dec. 15

Reuben will be leading the Service of Comfort and Joy at St. David’s Presbyterian Church (132 Main St. N., Campbellville) on December 15, 2013 at 7:30 pm. This service acknowledges that this time of year can be difficult for many people and will have music, readings, candle lighting, Communion and a message of hope. All are welcome – bring a friend!

You are invited to “On the Way to Bethlehem”

You are invited to “On the Way to Bethlehem” at Country Heritage Park, 8560 Tremaine Road, Milton – November 29, November 30 and December 1

“On the Way to Bethlehem” is an outdoor Christmas Nativity Pageant. Arrive anytime from 6:30 until 8:30 pm, you will enter the large reception area in Gambrel Barn, where you will enjoy the music of the mass choir. When ready, groups will travel the road to Bethlehem with a “guide.” On your 30–45 minute outdoor journey, you will witness King Herod’s court, interact with Roman soldiers, shepherds, magi, innkeepers and fellow travelers to reveal the Christmas story. At the end of your journey, visitors will follow a lamplight walkway to the refreshment area, where your “passports” will be stamped, and you can enjoy a warm drink and a cookie. When ready, you will be given a wagon ride to the exit. This is primarily an outdoor experience so it is important to dress warmly and wear comfortable walking shoes or boots.
